Connecting WEB.DE
WEB.DE accounts connect with their email address and password.
Steps
You give us your provider’s CalDAV details and a password made just for this connection. Two-way sync works the same as signing in.
- If you use two-factor authentication with WEB.DE, create an application-specific password in your WEB.DE security settings first
- Open Calendar, then Calendar Integrations from the settings menu
- Under Connect a Calendar, select Connect on WEB.DE
- Enter your WEB.DE email address and your password (or the application-specific password), then select Connect
What We Can and Cannot See
We can see:
- Events in the calendars on that account, so your appointments show in one place and bookings avoid times you are busy
- If you turn on outbound or two-way sync, we add the appointments, will milestones and video wishes you choose in your sync settings
We cannot see:
- Your email, contacts or files: a CalDAV connection reaches calendars only
- Your password in plain form: we keep the password you give us encrypted and use it only for this connection
How to Disconnect
- Open Calendar, then Calendar Integrations from the settings menu
- Select Disconnect on the connected calendar. We remove the events we added to it where the server still allows, and delete the password we kept
- If you created an app password for us, delete it at your provider too
Troubleshooting
- If the connection is refused while two-factor authentication is on, your normal password will not work. Use an application-specific password
