Forwarding travel emails to your alias
Send a booking confirmation to your personal inbox address and have the trip prepared for you to confirm
What forwarding does
Rather than typing a trip in, you can forward the confirmation email you already received. We read the booking detail out of it and prepare draft entries for you: the country stay itself, and where the email contains them, the accommodation and the flights or other transport.
Everything arrives as a draft
The two switches involved
Both are off until you turn them on, and they are deliberately separate: one creates the address, the other decides what is done with what arrives at it.
- On your document vault page, under Inbox, switch on Let me email things to this vault. This creates your personal forwarding address, shown on that page for you to copy
- On Residency Day Tracker (opens in a new tab), switch on Let me email my travel plans
- Forward a flight or hotel confirmation to that address from any email account
Turning the travel switch on does not turn on the other residency automations. Inferring your country from where you sign in, and the threshold alert emails, are each granted and withdrawn separately.
What you see afterwards
Each forwarded email is listed under Forwarded emails on your residency page with what happened to it, so you never have to guess whether something arrived.
- Received. It has arrived and is waiting to be read.
- Processed. It was read and draft records were created for you to confirm.
- Failed. It could not be read. Add the trip by hand instead.
- Rejected. It arrived while the travel switch was off, so it was not read.
Where the reading happens
Your email is not sent to a third-party AI service
The address is unguessable and belongs to you alone. Raw message bodies are kept only as long as they are needed to show you what happened and are blanked after that, while the draft records they produced stay under your control on your residency page.
Stopping it, and deleting what arrived
Switch Let me email my travel plans off and mail arriving after that is not read for travel plans. You can also delete individual forwarded emails from the list.
Deleting a forwarded email removes the message and its stored body. Anything it already produced, such as a draft trip or a document saved to your vault, is separate and is deleted separately if you want it gone.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a separate address for travel email?
No. There is one personal inbox address, and it lives on your document vault page. Reading travel plans out of what arrives there is a separate switch on your residency page, so one address serves both and you decide what is done with the mail.
Will forwarded trips change my day counts immediately?
No. Anything found in an email arrives as a draft awaiting your confirmation, and drafts are excluded from every day count until you confirm them. Discarding a draft also stops the same booking coming back if the email is forwarded again.
What if an email cannot be read?
It is listed with an outcome explaining what happened, for example that extraction failed or that nothing travel-related was found. Nothing is silently dropped, and you can always add the stay by hand instead.
Is my email sent to an outside AI service?
No. Extraction runs on our own infrastructure using a local model. Your travel email is not passed to a third-party AI provider, and nothing leaves our servers without your approval.
What happens if I turn the switch off?
Mail arriving after that is not read for travel plans. Drafts already created stay where they are until you confirm or discard them, and you can delete the forwarded emails themselves from the list at any time.
