Professional Registrations

Add each body you are regulated by and tie it to the places where you’re qualified to practise.

What are Professional Registrations?

A professional registration represents your credentials with a regulatory body in a specific jurisdiction. Registrations are recorded as qualification rows inside each jurisdiction you add, and each row carries its own professional type, regulatory body, and licence number.

For example, if you’re a Solicitor qualified in England & Wales, you would add a registration for "Solicitor" linked to your England & Wales jurisdiction, with your SRA number.

How Registrations Link to Jurisdictions

Every registration belongs to one of your jurisdictions. This connection is important because it tells clients which credentials apply to which legal territory.

You do not link them up separately. In the Jurisdictions section, add a jurisdiction, then add your registrations to it under "Which qualifications do you hold in this jurisdiction?", one row per professional type. Each row sits inside the jurisdiction it belongs to, so the two can never drift apart.

Add Jurisdictions First

You need at least one jurisdiction before you can add a professional registration, because the qualification rows live inside the jurisdiction card. Add the jurisdiction first, then fill in your qualifications.

Required Information

For each professional registration, you’ll need to provide the following.

Registration Fields

Jurisdiction - The jurisdiction card the registration sits inRequired
Professional Type - Your qualification (Solicitor, Barrister, Notary Public, etc.)Required
Regulatory Body - The body that issued your licence (SRA, BSB, CILEX, and so on). Choose "Other" and name the regulator if yours is not listed, or tick that the qualification is unregulatedRequired unless unregulated
Licence Number - Your unique registration number with the regulatory bodyRequired unless unregulated
Proof - For every regulated registration, either upload a qualification certificate or give the address of your entry on the regulator’s public registerRequired unless unregulated

Verification Required

Your licence numbers will be verified with the relevant regulatory bodies as part of your application. Ensure you enter the correct numbers exactly as they appear on your practising certificates.

Which Registration Leads

Registrations are not individually ranked. What you choose instead is your main jurisdiction: each jurisdiction card asks "Is this your main jurisdiction?", and exactly one can be marked. That choice determines:

  • How you appear first in directory listings
  • Your main professional identity on the platform

Every registration you hold in that jurisdiction, and in your other jurisdictions, is still shown on your profile.

Choosing your main jurisdiction

Pick the jurisdiction where you do most of your work, or the one where you want to grow your practice. You can change it after your application is approved.

Multiple Registrations

You can add multiple registrations to your profile. Common scenarios include:

  • Dual qualifications - Solicitor and Notary Public in the same jurisdiction
  • Cross-qualified - Solicitor in England & Wales and Advocate in Scotland
  • Multi-jurisdiction - Licensed in multiple countries

Each registration is independent - you can have different regulatory bodies and licence numbers for each qualification type.
